Meet the Staff

Meghan BordenBookworks was founded in 2009 by Meghan Borden. Meghan caught the accounting “bug” in high school as a bookkeeper for a motorcycle shop. After graduating from college, she began her career in public accounting and later worked for larger corporations and Fortune 500 companies, while also obtaining her MPAC. Ultimately, her heart was with small business, which is how Bookworks Accounting and Bookkeeping came to be. With over 20 years of experience, she holds a variety of professional designations, including enrolled agent, and Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor.In her spare time, Meghan enjoys spending time with her children and family, as well as running, fitness and ballet. Meghan and her husband co-own multiple businesses in the Olympia area.


TinaTina, our Accounting Manager brings years of experience to our team. Originally born in Ohio, her family moved to Washington in 2005 when she was 13 years old. Her first job was as a bookkeeper for a local tree service company. It was there that she learned the basics of bookkeeping and found her passion for accounting. She immediately knew that the exciting world of accountancy would become her career. Since then, she has become extremely knowledgeable and is a huge asset to our clients.

Tina and her family reside in Ohio with their children and enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, and target shooting.


CaseyJosie joins the Bookworks team as a Senior Accountant after completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She plans to complete her Master’s Degree in Accounting and earn her CPA certification. She discovered her love for accounting in 2014 when she took a position as an Accounting Clerk. She had decided to further her knowledge in the field and enrolled in SNHU’s Bachelor program for Accounting, graduating February 2020.

Josie loves going camping and fishing with her family, which consists of four kids. She enjoys taking her son to his football and baseball practices and games. Her two older daughters enjoy doing cheer-leading with their friends for their school football team.


SadieTaylor was born and raised in the Olympia area and is an alumni of Tumwater High School. She started her college studies at San Diego State University but ultimately graduated cum laude in 2018 from Saint Martin’s University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, emphasising in finance and management. The accounting courses she took at SDSU and SMU sparked her interest in the accounting world – She finds satisfaction in the balance of accounting and how it works together like a puzzle. Since completing her degree, she has kept the books for many different types of businesses at an accounting firm, and has been the in-house accountant for a small construction company. In her spare time, Taylor enjoys cooking, reading, snowboarding, and camping. She and her husband gave birth to their first child in early 2022.
